Herbal mixtures

Herbal mixtures are mainly used in the kitchen. The best known are certainly "Herbs de Provence" or Italian herbs.  
As a rule, herbs are added to spice mixtures to round off the flavor. Liver sausage and bratwurst mixtures without oregano or marjoram are unimaginable in many regions. 
However, in addition to the flavor aspect, herbs are benefiting visual aspects. In liquid seasonings and marinades, herbs provide an interesting visual contrast to ground and crushed spices and vegetable ingredients such as paprika and chili.
